Bringing Designs to the Web
I’ve been working with Fairwind Creative, a web agency run by designer and owner Julie, for just over a year. Since Julie handles most of the design work herself, I get to jump in wherever an extra set of hands and a slightly different skill set can help.
A big part of my role has been bringing her designs to life through front-end development, animation, and WordPress. I build out inner pages based on the visual direction she establishes on the homepage, making sure the rest of the site feels like a natural extension of the brand she created.
I also help migrate content from existing websites into their new builds, making sure everything makes the move without losing the structure or details that matter.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work on Fairwind’s own website, including creating a custom logo animation to bring their branding to life.
Working with Fairwind has been a great opportunity to collaborate with another designer while getting to spend more time on the web development side of things. I’ve really enjoyed figuring out how to take a strong visual concept and turn it into a responsive, functional website that feels just as good to use as it does to look at.
